Here's a small tip:

Cakes do not look good bare.

If you do not have enough time to make a frosting by

 yourselves. Then here's what you can try.

Try sprinkling icing sugar over the cake using a small tea 

strainer. It also adds taste to the cake along with good looks. 

You can try sprinkling icing sugar by making patterns too. 

You can use templates that are already available. Or get 

creative and make one by yourself!
